2022 Conference
BC Farmers’ Markets Conference
rise up: wORKING TOGETHER FROM RESILIENCY TO SUSTAINABILITY
New Westminster, BC | November 3-5, 2022
The BC Farmers’ Markets Conference is a once-a-year opportunity to get together with your farmers’ market peers to share best practices, learn from industry experts, build connections and gain inspiration to carry you through the 2022 farmers’ market season. We’ll be bringing together farmers’ market organizers, farmers, vendors, partners and community collaborators seeking to engage in strengthening BC’s local food sector through farmers’ markets.
We Want Your Submissions
We are actively seeking engaging and informative workshops, speakers and panels for our 23rd Annual Conference.
This is your opportunity to share your unique knowledge and expertise. We welcome your submission and encourage you to share your expertise and passion with the BC Farmers’ Market community. The Conference will offer three jam-packed days of networking, workshops and learning that will bring together farmers’ market managers, board of directors, farmers, growers, vendors and community stakeholders, as well as the general public interested in learning more about sustainable practices, the local food movement and resiliency.
The conference theme is Rise Up: Working from resiliency to sustainability. We will accept proposals that are aligned with this theme, as well as relevant topics targeted to market manager, board members, farmers, growers, and market vendors. We welcome ideas including interactive sessions, individual presentations, infographics and workshop formats. All sessions should be learning experiences and non-commercial in nature and include some interactive or experiential elements and at least one actionable item or takeaway.
Please submit your proposal before Wednesday August 24th, 2022 by completing the form here or by clicking the Request for Workshop Proposals button below.
We acknowledge that this conference is primarily developed with BC farmers’ markets in mind which operate on unceded Indigenous territories across the land now known as British Columbia. We welcome you to visit www.whose.land to learn which territory your local farmers’ market is located on.
