With its provincial reach and established relationships, BCAFM is able to use its collective purchasing power to negotiate preferred pricing and benefits on behalf of the 6,000+ vendors who sell at 145+ member farmers’ markets across BC, while sustaining the delivery of BCAFM programs and activities which support all members and strengthen our sector.

How to Apply for BCAFM Vendor Membership 

  1. Review the BCAFM Bylaws, BCAFM Constitution and BCAFM Vendor Membership Program Policy to assess vendor eligibility.
  2. Complete the online application for the BCAFM Vendor Membership Program (link below).
  3. Once BCAFM reviews your application and if you are approved, you will be emailed instructions how to pay your annual $75 membership fee.

2024 Applications valid until December 31st, 2024 (for new vendor applicants only):

Once approved, vendor membership will activate as of January 1, 2024 and expire on December 31, 2024. Applications take approximately 7 to 10 days to review and approve.

2024 Renewals (for 2023 vendor members only):

If you were a vendor member in good standing in 2023 and wish to renew your membership, please do so using the link that BCAFM sent you. If you did not receive a renewal reminder email yet, please communicate with us: info@bcfarmersmarket.org.

Cancellation Policy:

A minimum of 72 hours notice is required for a full refund (minus a 2% processing fee ie. $1.50) and minus a $10 administrative fee.

Vendor Membership Program Eligibility

Below is a summary of program eligibility:

A Person may be eligible to be accepted as a BCAFM Vendor Member if they:

(a) are a Vendor at a BCAFM member farmers’ market;
(b) are nineteen (19) years of age or older;
(c) are ordinarily resident in British Columbia; and
(d) agree to advance the purposes and support the activities of the Society (BCAFM).

A Person is NOT eligible to be accepted as a BCAFM Vendor Member if they are:

(e) an employee of BCAFM;
(f) a contractor for services with BCAFM with an annual aggregate value of $10,000 or more; or
(g) the spouse of a Person referred to in either paragraphs (e) or (f), above.

An Organization may be eligible to be accepted as a Vendor Member if it:

(h) is a Vendor at a BCAFM member farmers’ market;
(i) is ineligible to be accepted as a Farmers’ Market Member;
(j) carries on regular operations in British Columbia; and
(k) agrees to advance the purposes and support the activities of the Society.

Vendor Membership Details

  • BCAFM Vendor Membership Program annual fee is $75.
  • BCAFM Vendor Membership is annual, and the membership year runs from January 1 to December 31. You can enrol anytime throughout the year, however, membership fees will not be pro-rated and benefits will not be backdated.
  • Participation in the BCAFM Vendor Membership Program is voluntary and not required to sell at a BCAFM member farmers’ market. In addition, this program is entirely separate from and different than vendor membership programs required by individual farmers’ markets.
