2021 BIPOC Vendor Grant
Empowerment Grant for BIPOC Owned Vendor Businesses
As part of its ongoing commitment to Equity, Justice and Decolonization, the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets is proud to invest in the success of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour owned farmers’ market vendor businesses who sell farm or food products at BCAFM member farmers’ markets across the province of BC. Farm or food products include farm products, prepared foods or ready to eat foods.
BCAFM acknowledges the systemic and oppressive barriers in the food system and local economy, in particular anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism rooted in colonialism. An equitable and resilient food system and local economy compels BCAFM to work for meaningful change and increased equity for BIPOC vendor business owners who sell at BC farmers’ markets. Our hope is that these grants represent a tangible step in this direction.
