On Thursday, June 22nd from 7 – 8 pm, join BCAFM and Megan Troyer CPA, CGA for an informational session on Understanding Financial Statements, geared towards not-for-profit directors who do not have a financial background.

We’ll touch on the following, with plenty of time for additional Q&A:

• the role and responsibilities of the board, management and the auditor in financial reporting
• the concepts and terminology of financial reporting in the not-for-profit sector
• the ways in which donations to the organization can be accounted for
• the various financial statements you will encounter in your role as an not-for-profit director
