Supporting BC farmers and sustaining our local food supply means ensuring we have land to farm and fresh food to eat. It's a way to nurture the places we live and visit.

Preserve the Summer Contest

Preserve the Summer Contest

Preserve the Summer at BC Farmers' Markets

Want summer to last longer? Save a taste of sunshine - it's time to make preserves! Get started at one of the 145+ BC farmers' markets across the province where you can stock up on colourful BC produce. Then, from September 1st to September 15th, share a photo of your favourite farmers' market finds for a chance to win a home canning and dehydrating kit! Whether you are canning, dehydrating, fermenting or freezing this year's harvest bounty, BC Farmers' Markets wants to see how you plan to preserve summer!

Share a photo of your favourite farmers’ market finds to preserve with @bcfarmersmarket on Instagram, and add the tag #PreserveSummerBC. Don’t forget to tell us which BC farmers' market you stocked up at!
  • Contest closes Sept. 15, 2017.
