BCAFM Conference + AGM

The 2017 conference and AGM will be held March 3-5 at the New Westminster Quay. This year we’ll explore the theme of “Farmers’ Markets For All,” looking at key issues in farmers’ market development including diversity, accessibility, and food security. Situated by the Fraser River (and a couple minutes walk from the skytrain station) the venue will provide a perfect setting for great discussions and reflections on how we can continue to build and nurture an inclusive, and thriving farmers’ market sector.

Slow Meat Day

We are collaborating with Urban Digs Farm, Slow Food Canada, and the River Market to host a Slow Meat Day. The event is free to attend, however a Tasting Passport is available for purchase for $27 for those who would like to sample dishes from participating River Market restaurants. 2pm-6pm.

This webinar will dive deeply into best practises for developing great and sustainable volunteer programs for your farmers' market. We will end the webinar with an understanding vocational renewal, discuss how to make decisions and solve problems effectively, and how to use workplans and planning strategies to increase your personal effectiveness in your job.
