Understanding the Societies Act II: Deep Dive into Legal Issues in Governance & Legislative Changes

Through group work and case studies, and building on Understanding the Societies Act I, this workshop will introduce and explore more complex legal issues in governance, finance and regulatory matters and provide a strong focus on changes coming  to those areas. Participants will have an opportunity to bring their current constitution and bylaws for a deeper review into compliance issues, related especially to these key governing documents. 9am-12pm.

We are requesting conference workshop proposals and invite you to share your expertise, experience, and passion with the BC Farmers' Markets community! The 2017 conference theme this year is "Farmers' Markets For All." We will accept proposals that are aligned with that theme, as well as other topics that are targeted for market manager, board members, farmer/rancher vendors, and market vendors. Deadline is Monday, December 19, 2016.
